Project Description: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited has released the RFP for the hiring of services for carrying out subsea and allied inspection and remedial work on 3 offshore structures namely, the DDW1, PLQP, Flare Tripod, inspection and operational check of subsea isolation valve in 20 inch subsea trunk pipeline inthe  HPHT asset by deploying a non-propelled anchored barge on an LSTK basis. The bidding will close by18th December 2019, however there is the possiblity of an extension as well. The DDW1 platform contains 16 well slots for 16 production wells. In a  subsidy driven regime, there is always fear that a big investment in a fertilizer plant can become unviable with one twist in government policy. The risk notwithstanding, Chambal Fertilisers became the only private sector company to go ahead with a Rs 5500 crore new ammonia urea complex. The complex is now functioning and is making money, given its high efficiency ratios
8Inspired by the Chambal example, other private companies are now lining up, and here is one which is planning to come out with a straight EPC tender which will include technology licensing.
