Now that city gas distribution is undergoing an unprecedented boom, covering 228 geographical areas in 402 districts spread over 27 states and UTs with a 70% population footprint, here are few questions in everybody's mind

8When it comes to commercial or industrial customers, will there always be money to make or will there be frequent ups and downs? What kind of price indexing will be available for these kinds of customers?
8Were new CGD owners far more aggressive in bidding for new geographical areas than existing players? If so, is the perspective of the experienced player different from that of the new?
8What happens when marketing exclusivity ends? Will new players taking advantage of the 25% common carrier capacity get the advantage of subsidized gas?

Behind the trade war between China and the US is a do-or-die battle between the two countries for technological supremacy.
8What gave the US government fright was the fact that China’s top telecommunication providers Huawei and ZTE were the first to develop the technology needed for the commercial application of 5G.
8China is challenging the liberal order out of which it emerged as a global player.
8Just what a China-led global order would look like is still unclear, and the uncertainties are even more significant since the technology sector has rules of its own.
8This need is becoming more pressing as China’s technological rise is no longer a thing of the future, but a present reality: there are other pointers to it besides leadership in the commercial application of 5G technology.
8Of the top fifty unicorn companies (start-ups valued at US$1 billion or more), 26 are Chinese and 16 American. Europe does not make the list at all. In terms of growth, moreover, while top US tech companies grew 26% last year, their Chinese counterparts grew at 33%. This gap between East and West is growing wider and wider.
