It is clearly unacceptable that Oil India Ltd's crude production was 23% off target in January, and another 20% in February. Output is running significantly lower during these months in the previous year.
8There was hope that January was an exceptional month but the fact that output continues to remain low in February is cause for serious introspection.
8It is a clear failure on the part of OIL management team, lead by Utpal Bora, that miscreants can just walk in and shut down oil fields in Assam, causing grievous damage to them, particularly when a muscular BJP government is in power in Assam.

The integrated drilling services contract for the project is also expected to be floated soon.
