India's aging oilfields: Unable to deliver anymore

Cranking up oil from India's aging oil fields is turning out to be a more difficult task than ever before, it looks like
8Indigenous crude oil and condensate production during August 2018 was lower by 3.7% compared to August 2017.
8PSC fields registered a marginal growth of 0.7% during the month over August 2017 while PSU companies registered de-growth of an alarming 5.4%.
8On cumulative basis de-growth of 3.3% was registered during April-August 2018 over the corresponding period of the previous year.
8That is bad news indeed, with no real upside going ahead.
8Understanding that there is an immediate need to incentive IOR/EOR programmes, the government has come up with a plan, but there is going to be a big lag between policy and action on the ground.
