ONGC's big 4C-3D survey-I: More prospects to be investigated in D-1 and Neelam-Heera fields

ONGC is embarking on a massive 4C-3D seismic study of the D-1 and Neelam-Heera fields and that is expected to throw up a lot of interesting data, eventually leading to better reservoir management of these western offshore fields
8It will lay the framework for further Enhanced Oil Recovery (EPR) programmes in these fields
8A total of 450 SKM of data is to be processed in the D-1 area and another 750 SKM in the Neelam-Heera area
8Depending upon the success of this programme, ONGC demand for high full azimuth quality data is expected to rise because of the need to characterize the company's ageing offshore reservoir better, eventually to produce more oil out of existing reservoirs.
