Global seaborne LPG trade grew by 4% year over year in Q2 2018 but despite a decline in Chinese and Japanese imports, it was India's 35% rise in imports that lifted the spirits of the industry. 8As of 31 July 2018, the global VLGC fleet stands at 261 vessels after growing by six vessels year to date. Five vessels were also scrapped and 11 new buildings were ordered.
