Soaring LNG prices: Relief likely in 2019

Will LNG prices continue to soar upwards or are they going to settle down to sober levels eventually
8The big rise in demand, particularly from China, has given impetus to the line of thinking that the supply-demand gap will be plugged earlier than expected
8But the latest data seems to be again showing that there will be a spate of new capacity coming on stream and there will be a supply overhang in 2019 and 2020 as demand levels off somewhat.
8While China is expected to step up imports, Japan and Korea will slow down.
8Whilst global LNG import growth is sufficient to absorb this new capacity over 2018, slowing demand growth in 2019 and 2020 is expected to create a short period of excess supply.
