Jun 21: A slew of proposals for direct connectivity by big bulk consumers to the Petronet LNG Ltd's Dahej gas terminal has forced existing third party gas suppliers to demand a complete change of tariff laws.
8A demand has been made for abandoning existing Zonal Transportation Tariff recovery methodology.
8Instead the plea is for introduction of an absolute distance based tariff, whereby the transportation tariff is recovered from customers per km distance basis from entry point to exit point.
8Clearly the suppliers are facing the squeeze as the current tariff structure favour the laying the dedicated captive pipelines.
