May 11: A fresh sense of optimism has emerged in the oil and gas industry over the past year. Looking ahead to 2018, 63% of the senior oil and gas professionals in a global survey are confident about growth in the industry. This is a long way off the 88% recorded ahead of 2014, but it is nearly double the 32% reported just one year ago.
8More companies expect to increase their operating expenditure (19%) and headcount (20%) in 2018 than they did ahead of 2017 (11% and 12% respectively).
