Tripura in focus-II: Development drilling to be intensified

Developing drilling is now being intensified in Tripura in order to make up for declining production and dry wells

8Project Cost: Rs 1300 crore
8Project Description: Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Limited is planning development drilling of 27 wells, conversion of 37 exploratory wells and laying of associated flowlines. There is no clarity yet on whether a drilling contract will be awarded or another ONGC-led conventional drilling programme will be executed. An EIA consultant has already been hired for the project. The environment clearance for the project is expected by October 2018. Further RFQs are expected shortly.
8Project Event: RFQs for the hiring an EPC contractor for pipeline and gas grid network part are expected by May 2018.
