Apr 25: Discovered fields were handed over to new operators with much fanfare. Here are two stories of developers and what they are doing with their blocks.
After initial analysis of his offshore field, this particular owner figured out that it had fewer reserves than he thought the field initially did when he put in his bid. The operator has now sought some kind of a special dispensation from the ministry but the latter, quite evidently, is not willing to play ball.  The project involves development drilling of oil wells, installation of an offshore platform and laying of a subsea pipeline. For now, it looks like the operator has delayed the RFQs for an EPCM contractor for the job
