Apr 11: Construction of one leg on the Iranian side of the Iran-Pakistan pipeline is complete
8Construction on the Pakistani side has been repeatedly delayed and has yet to start.
8In 2009, when the agreement was signed, Pakistan agreed to import 750 MMcf per day of natural gas, and the trade was supposed to commence in December 2014.
8The official word now from very well placed sources is that this project is unlikely to proceed further.
8India had at one point wishfully thought it could perhaps source Iranian gas via Pakistan through this pipeline.
8A deepwater pipeline to India seems to the only option as of now.
