PNGRB cracks whip: Pipeline companies scurry to drawing boards

Now that the PNGRB under a tough chairman has decided to crack the whip on defaulting pipeline companies, other authorized pipeline companies are in panic mode. Efforts are now on full swing on the part of some promoters to get going so that they can adhere to the completion deadlines set.
Here is an update on two such pipeline
8Project Name: Greenfield Gas Pipeline Project
8Project Cost: Rs 4000 Crore
8Project Description: The owner was awarded the authorization for laying, building and operation of the gas pipeline. The pipeline length will be approximately 850 km and it will be connected to the major demand centers.
8Project Event: RFQ for PFR Consultant is now expected by June 2018.
8Expenditure Approval : Q3:2017
8RFQ Date: Jun/2018
8Release Date: Jul/2018
8Start Date : Q4:2018
8Completion Date : Q4:2021

8Project Name: Another Greenfield Natural Gas Pipeline Project
8Project Cost: Rs 3800 crore
8Project Description: Owner has promised to initiate the work on this pipeline soon and is committed to complete the pipeline on time but it remains a moot point whether it will be able to do so given the progress of work so far.
8Project Event: RFQ for Detailed Engineering and Final drawing is expected by June 2018.
8Expenditure Approval : Q3:2017
8RFQ Date: Jun/2018
8Release Date: Jul/2018
8Start Date : Q4:2018
8Completion Date : Q4:2021
