The use of gas in power generation is getting hemmed in by pressures from both direction, from coal as well as from renewable energy
8Coal is clearly a cheaper option when compared to LNG all over the world. Most coal companies have cut cost reasonably enough to be able to stand up against gas even in places where gas is cheap.
8Coal enthusiasts are now trying to cycle high-efficiency low emission coal as the way out of the emission quagmire
8The revival of coal is backed up with strong demand as of now. Import demand from India is expected to continue growing well into the foreseeable future.
8For now, the going is good for most coal companies
