LNG prices at new high-II: GAIL caught on the wrong side again
Jan 22: The rise in spot prices is coming at a time when GAIL should be readying itself to take on its US commitments now that gas has begun flowing in from additional trains in Sabine Pass.
8The problem however is that the Indian gas major pressed the panic button earlier when Asian and Indian LNG prices were low.
8It sold off some of its commitments to bigger LNG suppliers while at the same time entering into swap deals for oil-indexed deliveries which are now trading at lower prices than the spot market in Asia
