Can India's transportation sector use long haul LNG-based gas engines to beat the lack of a gas distribution system?
8In combustion, there is no difference between LNG and CNG, but there are significant differences in the operational range
8With new large haul, highly efficient gas engines, LNG can provide a range of as much as 1,100 kilometres for a typical truck on a flat road whereas CNG usually provides a range of up to 500 kilometres.
8So it is possible to use gas-powered trucks to deliver medium haul transport solutions with return trips without refueling.
