LNG imports up in October: What explains it

LNG import for the month of October, 2017 was 2422 MMSCM which was 11.0 % higher than the corresponding month of the previous year.
8The cumulative import of 14777 MMSCM for the current year till October, 2017 was lower by 0.4% compared with the corresponding period of the previous year (14833 MMSCM).
8The surge in imports could be on the back of a substitution effect due to higher crude oil prices as liquid fuels are substituted by gas
8Will this trend slow down if crude prices cool or if LNG prices continue to stay high?
