8Project Name: Greenfield Hydroelectric Power Station
8Project Cost: Rs 24000 crore
8Project Description: The owner along with an EIA consultant is carrying out the clearance activities for scoping the environment clearance for a 800 MW (4*170 + 3*36+1*12) greenfield hydroelectric plant. The project is a storage scheme permitted under Indus Water Treaty and declared as a National Project under the Prime Minister Reconstruction plan for J&K. TOR has been accorded on 5 October 2012, following the collection of three seasons baseline data. Currently, the project is with CEA for concurrence approval while an EAC sub-committee will visit the site in November for appraisal of EC. EC is likely to be elicited by April 2018. The owner is yet to decide whether to come out with an EPC contractor or package wise contracts.

8Project Name: Hydro Power Station Maintenance Project
8Project Cost: Rs 12 crore
8Project Description: The developer has planned a 21-day scheduled maintenance of Unit-6 (157 MW) in the 785 MW Hydro Power Station covering annual inspection and overhaul of equipment which includes overhauling of auxiliary parts of the turbine-generator set, bearing sets, seals, governor and oil cooling unit.
8Equipment required will be turbine bearings, gland seals, pipes, guide vanes seal, spiral casing, spiral drain valve, draft tube drain valve, among others.
8Project Event: RFQs for equipment are expected by first week of December 2017.
