8Project Description: The developer along with the consultant is carrying out the DPR activities for the environment clearance for a 680 MW (4*170 MW) greenfield hydel power project. TOR was accorded on 5 June 2014, and after its expiry, the TOR was extended on 26 May 2017. Three seasons baseline data for EIA report has been collected. Clearance from CWC, GSI and CSMRS has been obtained.The project is getting delayed due to heavy rains, as it makes the site inaccessible for long periods due to which investigation work was stalled several times. However, DPR has been submitted to CEA for techno-economic clearance. The SIA study for R&R plan is also ongoing. Environment Clearance is likely to be elicited by Q4 2018. The developer will come out with an EPC contract package.

8Project Name: Combined Cycle Power Station-Maintenance

8Project Description: The owner is planning to conduct maintenance activities at its 1500 MW (4x216 MW GT and 2x253.6 MW ST) Combined Cycle Power Station. Unit-2 and Unit-4 (of 216 MW each) of the power plant will undergo maintenance and generator and combustion inspection, starting February 1st, 2018. RFQs for inspection and maintenance are expected to be rolled out in several packages.

8Project Description: The owner is planning to dismantle it's 135 MW (2x67.5 MW) coal based thermal power plant. Both units have been on reserve shut down (due to surplus power) since May, 2015. Technical details of the process are being discussed and are under finalization. RFQs for civil work and dismantling services of various equipment are expected by the end of 2017.
