BHEL is a supplier of oil field equipment such as oil rigs & controls, including well heads, exmas tree valves, boiler feed pumps and compressors
8So far the company has sold 90 rigs and 380 odd compressors to the oil & gas industry
8Over 40 oil rig refurbishments have been carried out. Its rigs are capable of drilling up to depths of 9,000 metres, while work-over rigs can service up to depths of 6,100 metres whereas mobile rigs are capable of drilling up to depths of 3,000 metres.
8And yet, the company seems to be making little headway in the competitive oil & gas market.
8Business has been tapering off and sales have shrunk dramatically.
