8Project Name: Naitwar-Mori Greenfield Hydroelectric Power Station
8Project Cost: Rs 650 crore
8Project Description: SJVN is setting up a 60 MW (2*30 MW) hydroelectric power station at Naitwar-Mori in district Uttarkashi of Uttarakhand. RFQ for Electrical Package including major electrical works like setting up of a substation, transmission lines, switchyard, control equipment etc is expected to be out in a few months. The Hydro-Mechanical Package is currently under the bidding process. The Civil Package for major civil works including barrage construction and construction of underground powerhouse was released last year.
The major future requirement for this project will be two vertical Francis turbines, radial gate, vertical lift gate, valves, turbine-generator set, governor, steel lined penstock, pumps, substation, control equipment, diesel generator set, transformer among several others.

8Project Name: Nathpa Jhakri Hydroelectric Power Station Maintenance
8Project Description: SJVN is planning to carry out maintenance activities in their 1500 MW (6*250 MW) Nathpa Jhakri Hydroelectric Power Station in district Shimla of Himachal Pradesh. RFQ for an Annual Maintenance contractor is expected to be floated shortly. The tentative dates for unit wise shut downs are:
Unit 1 - 01.12.2017 to 15.12.2017 (15 days)
Unit 2 - 16.12.2017 to 30.12.2017 (15 days)
Unit 3 - 31.12.2017 to 14.01.2018 (15 days)
Unit 4 - 15.01.2018 to 29.01.2018 (15 days)
Unit 5 - 30.01.2018 to 13.02.2018 (15 days)

8Project Name: Gundia Hydro Power Greenfield Project
8Project Cost: Rs 1126 crore
8Project Description: Karnataka Power Corporation Limited is writing out a DPR for the Greenfield 300 MW (2*150MW) Gundia Hydroelectric Plant along with contractor Preethi CAD which is also carrying out geotechnical investigations at Hassan & Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka. Since the project is situated in an Ecologically Sensitive Zone-I (ESZ-I) area the size of the project was from 400 MW to 300 MW in order to prune the area needed. Environmental clearance is expected by the first quarter of 2018, after which package wise contracts are likely to be floated.
Among major civil equipment which will be required will be: Rock Drill, Concrete Breaker, Asphalt Cutter, Grinder, Hydraulic Excavators, Dozers, Asphalt, Concrete, Composite, Bituminous Solutions, Stone Aggregates, Cement, DG sets, Piles, among others.
There will be the need for penstock, spillway, tailrace tunnel, headrace tunnel, pressure shaft, surge shaft and electro-mechanical equipment needed will be turbine, generator and power house equipment.
8Project Event: RFQs for civil works are likely to be expected by 1st Quarter of 2018.
