GAIL Gas Ltd has come in for severe criticism by independent auditors for its inability to meet its targets set by the PNGRB.
8It has fallen short of target in the laying of steel pipelines, construction of CNG stations and the number of domestic connections in all its territories
8The operation losses incurred in setting up CNG stations outside its authorized geographical areas have also come in for criticism as also the setting up stations without necessary authorization
8The company also seems to have a poor track record on recovery of dues
8Its financial practices have also come in for scrutiny, including non-adherence to PNGRB regulations in maintaining separate books of accounts and other systemic lapses
