The Shipping Corporation of India has drawn up its capex plan for 2016-17
The plan involves:
8An acquisition plan
8A resale plan
8An investment in the LNG JV
8The point to note is SCI's tie-up with GAIL for LNG transportation from USA to India. SCI will also do post fixture management of GAIL’s in-chartered LNG tankers and In-chartering of LNG tankers for short-term i.e. period of 1-3 yrs.
8The company has also signed an MOU with ONGC for long term contracts. Will this have an impact on private sector shippers?
