Rig hiring in ONGC-I: Surprise decision on removing three-year rig idling criterion

ONGC has finally taken a decision on whether the Bid Evaluation Criteria for selection of rigs should be changed to take into consideration bids from rigs which have been idling for more than three years, according to highly placed sources.
8As for onshore rigs, a decision was taken to exclude rigs which are idling outside of the country.
