GAIL has drawn up plans for Rs 6000 crore of approved PNG projects
8Today the biggest PNG project by GAIL is in the city of Bangalore
8Now with the recent approval of the Cabinet, PNG networks are to be set up in seven more cities in Eastern India along the Jagdishpur-Haldia pipeline and will include Varanasi, Patna,
Bhubneshwar, Cuttak, Jamshedpur, Ranchi and Kolkata.
8A Rs 2000 crore push for a 3500 km trunk pipeline network that GAIL is building will mean that 20 other medium towns which will be in the catchment of these pipelines will need the development of gas infrastructure.
