IGX: Volumes go up, but India is still a long way from market discovery of prices

The IGX has posted impressive volumes right at a time when the LNG market is at an all-time high.
8Clearly, higher import prices helped the exchange discover lower prices at the exchange at rates tantalizing lower than LNG prices.
8The government too decided to play ball by lowering its guard, allowing up to 10 per cent of domestic production to be sold outside of the price cap.
8But the exchange is still a long time away from becoming a true price discovery hub
