A bunch of new projects coming up can profitably supply LNG profitably to India at a delivered price of $6/mmbtu.
8A benchmark price of $6/mmbtu has been set as being "affordable" for a low-income country like India.
8This is the LNG price at which a significant uptake in demand can be expected. Incidentally, this is also the cut-off price at which sensitivities have been conducted for gas out of new discoveries out of the KG Basin.
8Pushing delivered gas supplies to India at this price will mean a combination of low cost upstream gas supply, low liquefaction costs and competitive freight rates
8Interesting more than existing LNG projects, it is the new breed of LNG projects coming up, which seem to fulfill this litmus test.
