Parallel negotiations with OEMs: ONGC breaks rule for gas generators

ONGC has a strict rule of not indulging in parallel negotiations for rate contracts or for repair of equipment where an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is involved.
8A repair or a spare replacement is usually done through a single representative of the OEM.
8There are many reasons why ONGC does that, one of them being to strengthen its bargaining position with respect to the OEM.
8But the company decided to bypass the rule recently when it came to repairing of gas generators
