8Project Name: Deothal Chanju Greenfield Hydroelectric Power Station
8Project Cost: Rs 274 + Rs 420 crore
8Project Description: Himachal Pradesh Power Corp. Ltd (HPPCL) is planning to construct a 30 MW (3*10 MW) plant, dubbed Deothal Chanju Hydroelectric Power Station, near village Dantoi in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD), a French Development Agency has sanctioned a loan for this project in July 2017. Another 48 MW (3*16 MW) hydel power plant is also being pushed by the French agency near the villages of Jakhla and Dantoi in the same district. At present DPRs are being prepared and geological survey and data collection are ongoing. RFQ for Civil Works, Hydro-Mechanical Package, Electrical Package and BoP are expected to be floated in mid-2018.
8The major requirement will be: Pelton turbines, turbine-generator sets and associated auxiliaries, transformers, radial gates (along with hoist), vertical lift gates, main inlet valves (MIV), butterfly valves, turbine auxiliaries (motors and control centers), digital governors (with accessories), steel lined penstock, cables, bus ducts and terminal equipment, EOT cranes, DC system (batteries, charger and DCDB), DG sets, shaft and bearing, couplings, vibration control system, girders, steel ropes, communication system, ventilation system, bays, switchgear, static excitation system, dynamic braking equipment, unit control board (UCB), computerized control system (CCS), video surveillance, substations and tunnel boring machine (TBM) among several others.
8Project Event: RFQs for Civil works is expected to be out by September 2018.

8Project Name: Upper Indravati Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Project
8Project Cost: Rs 1600.50 crore
8Project Description: Odisha Hydro Power Corporation along with consultant Wapcos is carrying out detailed project report activities for a 600MW (150*4) Pumped Storage Plant at Upper Indravati HEP, Kalahandi, Odisha which envisages re-utilization of water of the Upper Indravati Reservoir that is being released from existing HEP station. TOR has been granted on 24 January 2017, public hearing to be conducted in next 1-2 month after which the final EIA report will be submitted for Environment Clearance which will in all likelihood be acquired in the next 6-8 months. RFQ for a contractor is expected subsequently.
8Project Event: RFQ for EPC contractor is expected to be floated by 2nd Quarter of 2018.
