AHTS-PSV and OSV market: Optimism creeps in

There is some amount of optimism in the market about the possibility of a recovery in the AHTS-PSV and offshore support vessels (OSVs) market subsequent to a rebound in oil prices.
82016 resulted in further weakening of asset values on top of a bad 2015 and charter rates of drilling rigs and OSVs. For OSVs specifically, rates dropped over 25%.
8A year ago, the oversupply for offshore units was estimated to be at around 600-700 PSV units and around 800 AHTS vessels.
