8The IEA had predicted a golden age for gas in a report in 2011. In this report, Are We Entering a Golden Age of Gas?, supply and demand predictions were made in scenarios that showed a rapid expansion of natural gas usage, with global natural gas demand projected to increase dramatically by 2020.
8But the golden age did not really materialize.
