8Project Name: Neyveli TPS II Second Expansion
8Project Description: NLC India Ltd is planning to add a supercritical unit of 1320 MW (2*660 MW) to it's existing 1970 MW (9*210 MW) Neyveli Thermal Power Station II at Neyveli in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. The project received TOR on March 23, 2017. Presently, EIA report preparation is under process. An EPC contractor is expected to be hired in the first half of 2018.
8Major requirements will be steam turbine, generator, cooling tower, steam pipelines, pumps, transmission lines, substation, coal handling plant, ash handling plant, electrostatic precipitator among many others.

8Project Name: Mawphu Hydroelectric Greenfield Project
8Project Cost: Rs 940.20 Cr.
8Project Description: North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited along with contractor Energy Infratech Pvt Ltd is writing out a DPR for a greenfield 85 MW Mawphu Hydroelectric Plant at Mawphu, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya. However protest from amongst the people is the area is a matter of concern.
Tendering for equipment required for Civil Work will be floated only after getting Environmental Clearance.
Among major equipment which will be required will be hydro-mechanical equipment such as penstock, spillway, tailrace tunnel, headrace tunnel, pressure shaft, surge shaft and electro-mechanical equipment such turbine and generator and power house equipment in the next 6 months.
8Project Event: RFQs for civil works are expected by 1st Quarter of 2018.
