Oil & Gas data for October, 2016-II: Consumption data
Nov 21: Petroleum product consumption registered a growth of 6.6% during October, 2016 as compared to 19.4% growth during October, 2015.
8Except for SKO and Bitumen, all other products registered a positive growth during October, 2016.
8Cumulatively for April-October 2016, petroleum product consumption registered a growth of 8.9% as compared to the same period last year.
8Gross production of natural gas for the month of October, 2016 was 2,755 MMSCM which was lower by 1.43 % compared with the corresponding month of the previous year (2,795 MMSCM).
8The cumulative gross production of natural gas 18,479 MMSCM for the current year till October, 2016 was lower by 3.98 % compared with the corresponding period of the previous year (19,244 MMSCM).
8LNG import for the month of October, 2016 was 2,262 MMSCM which was 18.6 % higher than the corresponding month of the previous year (1,908 MMSCM). The cumulative import of 14,915 MMSCM for the current year till October, 2016 was higher by 25.0 % compared with the corresponding period of the previous year (11,928 MMSCM).
8The prices of Brent crude averaged $49.66/bbl during October, 2016 as against $46.67/bbl during September, 2016.
8The Indian basket crude averaged $49.25/bbl during October, 2016 as against $44.48/bbl during the previous month.
8The import bill of crude oil is estimated to increase by 4% from $ 64 billion in 2015?16 to $67 billion in 2016-17 considering Indian basket crude oil price of $ 45/bbl and $/Rs 67 for the balance part of the financial year.
