Even as CNG deliveries are aimed at India, the use of CNG in the transportation industry in India continues to be a subject of debate
8The advent of BS-VI "sootless" fuel and the possibility of wider use of zero emission electric vehicles has put CNG's lifespan as a transportation fuel at around 10 years at best
8What is more the fate of the fuel will depend on strong governmental support, including the availability of cheap gas. If CNG loses it appeal as a green fuel in relation to other competing fuels, governmental support cannot be taken for granted.
8Eventually low carbon support, through use of bio gas, may expand the lifespan of this fuel
